In 1999, the first in Kuh's line up of shows was the Power of Two Valentine series with Pops Fernandez followed by a US tour with Regine Velasquez. Kuh also released her 17th album AKUHSTIC.

The latter part of 1999, Kuh opened another venue in the heart of Manila aptly called THE REPUBLIC OF MALATE. The Republic of Malate is a three in one complex along Mabini St., it has a funky restaurant and bar that serves the best Chinese cuisine with a modern twist called The Good Earth tea room, a watering hole, game room and tobacco area called Survival Cafe and The Republic, a warehouse converted into a dance club / theater with state of the art lights and sound system . The venue is ideal for intimate concerts and long running series. It was the most popular entertainment spot in the metropolis until it burned down in November 2001, and like the Music Museum it will soon rise again, hopefully mid this year.

In the recording scene, Kuh released the first of its kind album, DUET WITH ME -- a double disc album featuring Kuh Ledesma doing duets with herself. The album includes a disc wherein harmony parts are separated from the melody parts, Anybody can therefore learn either the harmony parts or the melody parts of the songs and duet with Kuh. This revolutionized karaoke singing. Duet with me is Kuh's eighteenth album. Presently, Kuh is working on her nineteenth album, her first inspirational album "Walking on Water".
