2013 People of the Year awardee: THE EVER-EVOLVING KUH By Patricia Esteves, The Philippine Star, 01/31/2014 -- Pop diva Kuh Ledesma particularly remembers an incident in one of her gigs in the province where she failed to sing One More Try, the theme song from the hit GMA teleserye My Husband’s Lover, and found out that her fans were extremely disappointed. Now, Kuh resolved that she will sing One More Try for the concert dubbed The King and the Diva: Beyond Classic on Feb. 14 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of the Resorts World.More...
Kuh Ledesma enjoys wearing many hats. By Marinel R. Cruz, Philippine Daily Inquirer, 06/16/2013 -- Singer-actress Kuh Ledesma believes that the Filipino audience is already “mature enough” to handle highly sensitive subject matters such as homosexuality and infidelity on TV.
That is why for Kuh, the latest GMA 7 drama series, “My Husband’s Lover,” is “a good teleserye [because it] informs men and women that things like this happen in real life.” More...
KUH LEDESMA: More than meets the eye. By HANNAH JO UY, Manila Bulletin, 10/18/2012 -- Kuh Ledesma commands attention; not just on the stage where she is known to stun audiences by belting out the most heart rending harmonies, but also towards any canvas that has been touched by her brush. It is on this canvas that she releases her talent in bold and stunning strokes creating works of art that not only moves, but also captivates.
“Forty years,” Kuh answered when asked how long it has been since she last painted, “and now I have 40 paintings.“ One painting for every year that was spent away from the canvas. More...
Kuh Ledesma returns to her first love. By Amadís Ma. Guerrero, Philippine Daily Inquirer, 09/02/2012 -- The celebrated chanteuse Kuh Ledesma, after remarkable success as a pop diva (and still counting concerts), has gone back to the love of her childhood: painting.
ALBUM REVIEW: The fragrance of Kuh's worship. By Baby A. Gil
The Philippine Star, March 02, 2012 - Did you ever imagine that you would one day hear Kuh Ledesma talking about how God changed her life in an album? I never did. Not that her spiritual side was ever in question, it was just that Kuh was never one to talk much, more so about her personal life and as in this case, of her failings. But as the cliché goes, things change and so has the Ice Goddess. In fact, she is all warmth and joy in the new CD titled Fragrance Of Worship.
Fragrance Of Worship is really quite an accomplishment. It is not only notable for all the things Kuh has to say but also for her songs. She has never sounded better. There is a lilt in her voice, a vibrant quality so young and alive that I am hearing for the first time.
Is this the result of her spiritual awakening? Maybe. But no matter what, it is a wonderful change. How nice to know that this famous diva has allowed God to use her in this manner and made the hearts of us listeners all the richer because of her efforts. More...
CONCERT REVIEW: Powerhouse vocalist from Philippines
entrances America. By Andy Argyrakis for ConcertLivewire.com, Kuh Ledesma: The Duets
The Venue at Horseshoe Casino - In America, the name Kuh Ledesma might not exactly jump off the page, but in the Philippines, she's practically royalty. That's because the multi-platinum diva's seamlessly blended pop, soul and jazz for 30 years across 300 concerts, winning most of the country's most prized awards in the process. Add in a series of international films, the formation of her own production company, various theatre appearances, plus the founding of two alternative music venues in her homeland, and the veteran's almost as famous for her entrepreneurial endeavors as her singing.
These days, she's unfurling her divadome on the road, taking along a variety of duet partners to belt out some of the pop world's most familiar cuts, seeming like a cross between a professional version of "American Idol" with Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band. Aside from Ledesma, this particular line-up included Stephen Bishop, John Ford Coley, and David Pomeranz.More...

The original diva Kuh Ledesma returns with ‘Memories.’
In Kuh Ledesma’s latest release “Memories,” the Pop Diva lends her lush, crystal clear voice to beautifully-penned love songs that perfectly capture unforgettable romantic memories.
“Memories” reunites Kuh with two industry partners. This is her reunion project with Universal Records. And, she gets to work again with famed composer Cecile Azarcon.
“Every Cecil Azarcon is destined to be a hit,” says Kuh. “I’ve always loved how she writes her words. They are her experiences of love, joy and pain.”
Kuh adds that she is pleased to have been given this chance to record seven of Cecil’s songs for “Memories.”
“I do hope that you fall in love with these songs again,” shares Kuh. “I hope they (songs in “Memories”) make you fall in love, over and over again.”
The Pop Diva also expresses gratitude to Cecil Azarcon for letting her record and re-record these amazing songs – “I Think I’m In Love,” “One More Try,” “So It’s You,” “Special Memory,” “Huwag Kang Mangako,” “How Did You Know” and “Hello.”
“So It’s You” is the theme of the upcoming movie of the same title with lead stars Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana.
